Sweet and Savory Chicken Puff Pastry Shells
Share recipe
Description
This puff pastry recipe also works great with leftover chicken or turkey. If the filling looks a little dry because your apples didn't turn out juicy, you can add a little apple cider or even some white wine.
Ingredients
- 6 puff pastry shells
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 small apples, peeled and cubed
- 6 slices bacon, diced
- 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into small cubes
Directions
- 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Arrange pastry shells on a baking sheet.
- 2. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
- 3. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add apples; cook and stir until slightly softened, 3 to 5 minutes. Add bacon; cook until sizzling, about 1 minute. Add chicken; cook and stir until no longer pink, 5 to 7 minutes. Divide filling over the 6 baked shells right out of the oven.
