Description
This is a light pie made with strawberry flavored gelatin and whipped evaporated milk.
Ingredients
- ½ cup boiling water
- 1 (3 ounce) package strawberry flavored Jell-O® mix
- 1 cup white sugar
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 1 (12 fluid ounce) can cold evaporated milk
- 1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust
Directions
- 1. In a medium bowl, mix boiling water, strawberry gelatin, sugar and lemon juice. Stir until dissolved.
- 2. In a large bowl, whip evaporated milk with electric mixer until it achieves the consistency of whipped cream. Fold in the strawberry gelatin mixture. Pour into pie shell and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours before serving.
