Description

Savory sausage stuffing that has been made for years! The addition of the apples adds a hint of sweetness! Simple and delicious!

Ingredients
  • 1 pound sweet pork sausage
  • 2 cups chopped mushrooms
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 apple - peeled, cored, and diced
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • ½ (12 ounce) package seasoned dry stuffing mix
  • ½ (12 ounce) package cornbread stuffing mix
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
Directions
  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. 2. Heat a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Cook sausage, mushrooms, celery, apple, and onion together in the hot skillet for 15 minutes. Stir in seasoned stuffing and cornbread stuffing mix. Pour in chicken broth; combine all ingredients thoroughly. Place mixture into a deep baking dish.
