Grandma's Drop Sugar Cookies

Description
My family's favorite Christmas cookie. Buttery and crispy. The slight coconut flavor makes this cookie the best.
Ingredients
- 2 cups white sugar
- 2 cups butter, softened
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup coconut flakes
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
Directions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- 2. Beat sugar and butter together in a bowl using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Mix flour, coconut flakes, vanilla extract, salt, and baking soda into creamed butter mixture until dough is smooth. Spoon dough onto a baking sheet.
- 3. Bake in the preheated oven until edges of cookies are lightly browned, about 10 minutes.
