Creamy Israeli-Style Hummus

Description
Creamy, smooth, and tasty hummus that uses a hint of peanut butter.
Ingredients
- 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sliced green onions, or to taste
Directions
- 1. Combine 2 tablespoons chickpea liquid and 1 cup chickpeas in a bowl for hummus. Reserve remaining chickpeas and liquid for another use.
- 2. Combine olive oil, peanut butter, lemon juice, sesame oil, cumin, onion powder, and salt in a blender. Blend until smooth, about 2 minutes. Pour in chickpeas and liquid and blend until creamy, 2 to 5 minutes.
- 3. Transfer to an airtight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. Garnish with green onions to serve.
