Description
This green smoothie makes the most of ripe fall fruit like apples and pears, and adds a nutritional boost from kale and flaxseed meal.
Ingredients
- 6 large kale leaves, stems removed
- 1 apple, quartered, stem and seeds discarded
- 1 pear, quartered, stem and seeds discarded
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons flaxseed meal
- 1 small lemon, juiced
- ½ teaspoon freshly grated ginger
Directions
- 1. Combine kale, apple, pear, water, flaxseed meal, lemon juice, and ginger in a blender and puree; add more water if needed.
