Description

This green smoothie makes the most of ripe fall fruit like apples and pears, and adds a nutritional boost from kale and flaxseed meal.

Ingredients
  • 6 large kale leaves, stems removed
  • 1 apple, quartered, stem and seeds discarded
  • 1 pear, quartered, stem and seeds discarded
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons flaxseed meal
  • 1 small lemon, juiced
  • ½ teaspoon freshly grated ginger
Directions
  1. 1. Combine kale, apple, pear, water, flaxseed meal, lemon juice, and ginger in a blender and puree; add more water if needed.
