Kate's Turkey Meatballs

Description
These turkey meatballs with an Italian flair are easier to make than you might think.
Ingredients
- 1 white onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 2 pounds ground turkey
- 1 pound ground turkey breast
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup Italian-style bread crumbs (such as Progresso®)
- ¼ cup skim milk
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, or as needed
Directions
- 1. Combine onion and garlic in a skillet over medium heat. Cook until softened, 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl.
- 2. Add ground turkey, ground turkey breast, eggs, bread crumbs, milk, black pepper, oregano, basil, and salt to the bowl with the onions. Mix well and form into approximately 60 equal-sized balls.
- 3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry meatballs until browned outside and no longer pink inside, about 10 minutes. Add cooked meatballs to sauce.
