Description

These turkey meatballs with an Italian flair are easier to make than you might think.

Ingredients
  • 1 white onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 pound ground turkey breast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup Italian-style bread crumbs (such as Progresso®)
  • ¼ cup skim milk
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, or as needed
Directions
  1. 1. Combine onion and garlic in a skillet over medium heat. Cook until softened, 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl.
  2. 2. Add ground turkey, ground turkey breast, eggs, bread crumbs, milk, black pepper, oregano, basil, and salt to the bowl with the onions. Mix well and form into approximately 60 equal-sized balls.
  3. 3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry meatballs until browned outside and no longer pink inside, about 10 minutes. Add cooked meatballs to sauce.
