Share recipe
Description
Most of the people that have tried this sesame chicken says it tastes so much better than the chicken on a stick you get from a Chinese restaurant... everyone loves it!
Ingredients
- 10 bamboo skewers
- 15 fluid ounces teriyaki sauce
- 6 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 packet
- 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken thighs, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
Directions
- 1. Soak bamboo skewers in warm water for 1 hour.
- 2. While skewers soak, mix teriyaki sauce, sesame oil, lemon juice, garlic, and sweetener together in a large glass or ceramic bowl. Add chicken, cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour; the longer you marinate, the better the flavor.
- 3. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- 4. Thread chicken onto bamboo skewers and place on a nonstick shallow baking pan. Discard marinade. Sprinkle chicken with sesame seeds.
- 5. Bake in the preheated oven until chicken pieces are no longer pink in the centers and juices run clear, 30 to 40 minutes.
