Description

This vegan pulled pork is made with canned jackfruit.

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 (12 ounce) can jackfruit, drained and shredded
  • ⅔ cup chopped onion
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (such as Sweet Baby Ray's®)
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • salt to taste
Directions
  1. 1. Heat oil in a saute pan over medium-high heat. Add jackfruit, onion, and garlic powder. Saute, stirring frequently, until brown, 5 to 7 minutes. Stir in barbecue sauce. Reduce heat and let simmer until thickened, about 10 minutes. Season with black pepper, cayenne, and salt.
