Description

After trying to make hummus without tahini, I came up with this recipe that tastes 10 times better than the stuff you get at the store.

Ingredients
  • 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained and liquid reserved
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes
Directions
  1. 1. Combine garbanzo beans, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, paprika, cumin, and pepper flakes in a food processor. Pulse until pureed. Slowly add reserved bean liquid until hummus is smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning.
