Better than Grandma's Brownies

Description
These are the best, but don't tell grandma!
Ingredients
- 6 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
- ¾ cup butter
- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ¾ cups white sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups chopped walnuts
Directions
- 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- 2. In double boiler over low heat, melt the chocolate and butter together, stirring frequently until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool.
- 3. In a large mixing bowl, mix together eggs, vanilla, salt and sugar. Beat with an electric mixer for 8 to 10 minutes. Slowly pour in chocolate mixture and flour. Stir in the walnuts. Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan
- 4. Bake for 17 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until the top is crackled. Let cool for 2 hours before cutting into squares.
