Description

Hot apple cider with caramel is served in a mug rimmed with spiced sugar for a warming drink on a chilly day.

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon raw or demerara sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Diamond Crystal® Fine Sea Salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon apple pie spice blend
  • 1 tablespoon caramel sauce or honey
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 2 piece (blank)s pieces hard caramel or toffee candy
Directions
  1. 1. To make the drink rimmer, mix sugar, Diamond Crystal® Fine Sea Salt, and spice blend on a small saucer. Pour caramel sauce on another small saucer.
  2. 2. Dip the rim of a mug or heatproof glass into the caramel sauce, evenly coating the rim. Then, dip into the rimmer mixture.
  3. 3. Heat the apple cider and caramel candy in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir frequently until candies have melted.
  4. 4. Ladle hot caramel apple cider into the spice-rimmed mug.
