Description

Easy microwaved tofu that is quick to make but brings delight to both the taste buds and the eyes.

Ingredients
  • ¾ cup ground pork
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 dash ground black pepper
  • 1 dash crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 (14 ounce) package tofu, drained
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped carrots
  • 1 chile pepper, chopped
Directions
  1. 1. In a bowl, mix the ground pork with the soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, cornstarch, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Marinate at least 10 minutes.
  2. 2. Place the tofu in a microwave-safe dish. Place the pork over the tofu. Discard any remaining marinade. Top with green onion, carrots, and chile pepper. Cover with microwave-safe plastic wrap. Cut a small slit in the plastic wrap to vent steam.
  3. 3. Cook 5 minutes on High in the microwave, or until vegetables are tender and pork is cooked to desired doneness.
