Description
Oatmeal Pie tastes like pecan pie. Sprinkle with chopped nuts before baking, if desired. This recipe makes two pies.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 1 ½ cups dark corn syrup
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
- ½ cup margarine, melted
- 1 ¾ cups rolled oats
- 1 ¾ cups evaporated milk
- 2 9-inch pie crusts
Directions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- 2. Mix eggs, corn syrup, and sugar. Add milk, melted margarine, coconut, and oatmeal. Pour into two 9-inch pie shells.
- 3. Bake in preheated oven until filling is browned and set, about 40 minutes.
