Old Fashioned Fudge Cookies

Description
These cookies taste like the old fashioned fudge we used to make.
Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- ¾ cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
Directions
- 1. Cream sugar and butter in mixer till creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, beat till well-mixed.
- 2. Blend in flour, baking powder, and salt. Continue beating until well mixed. Beat in melted chocolate on low speed just until mixed.
- 3. Shape into slightly flattened balls (rounded teaspoonfuls). Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 7-8 minutes or until set. Cool for about a minute, then remove to wire racks to cool.
