Description
A recipe for those who are not afraid of try something new. I did and it is very good. You can also use cream cheese in place of the Cheddar.
Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) package spaghetti
- 1 pound bulk pork sausage
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 mango - peeled, seeded and diced
- 2 (10.75 ounce) cans tomato puree
- 8 ounces Cheddar cheese, shredded
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Directions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Coat a large baking dish with cooking spray.
- 2. Fill a large pot with lightly salted water, and bring to a rolling boil. Cook pasta in boiling water until cooked through but still firm to the bite, about 12 minutes. Drain.
- 3. Place a large skillet over medium heat; cook the sausage, onion, and mango in the skillet until the sausage is completely browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Stir in tomato puree and about half the Cheddar cheese; heat until the cheese is melted. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in cooked spaghetti. Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish. Top with remaining Cheddar cheese.
- 4. Bake in preheated oven until the Cheddar cheese is hot and bubbly, about 30 minutes.
