Mother's Lime Green Punch

Description
A punch recipe that was my Mother's. It has a unique flavor due to the almond extract. This punch was served at my wedding in 1956.
Ingredients
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 (3 ounce) package lime flavored Jell-O® mix
- 4 cups boiling water
- 1 (46 fluid ounce) can pineapple juice
- 2 cups bottled lemon juice (such as ReaLemon®)
- 2 tablespoons almond extract
- 4 cups cold water
Directions
- 1. Mix sugar and lime gelatin mix in a large bowl.
- 2. Stir 4 cups boiling water into gelatin mixture until sugar and gelatin have dissolved.
- 3. Thoroughly chill gelatin mixture in refrigerator, about 1 hour.
- 4. Place lime gelatin mixture into a large punch bowl; stir in pineapple juice, lemon juice, almond extract, and 4 cups cold water until thoroughly combined.
