Description
This is a rich, soft waffle with lots of taste. The batter is thick, will spread some on its own.
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 ½ cups vanilla fat-free yogurt
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ cup shortening
Directions
- 1. Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions. Beat eggs in a large mixing bowl, then add yogurt, flour, baking powder, baking soda, kosher salt, and shortening, mixing until smooth.
- 2. Pour batter onto hot waffle iron. Cook until no longer steaming, about 5 minutes.
