Lavender-Earl Grey Tea Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 Earl Grey tea bag
- ⅓ cup hot milk
- ¾ cup white sugar
- ½ cup softened butter
- 1 egg
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons dried lavender
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon water
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried lavender
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
Directions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- 2. Steep Earl Grey tea bag in hot milk in a bowl.
- 3. Mix sugar and butter together in a large bowl. Mix in egg. Remove tea bag from hot milk; add milky tea mixture to batter. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and lavender; mix dough until well combined.
- 4. Drop dough by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- 5. Bake in the preheated oven until edges are light brown and set, 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes.
- 6. While cookies are cooking, stir lemon juice and water together in a small bowl. Add sugar, lavender, and lemon zest and stir until combined. Brush or spoon glaze onto cooled cookies.
