Description

This traditional Swedish spice cake is perfect to have on hand for the Christmas holiday season. This is an incredibly easy recipe and perfect for your children to help make and bake.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
Directions
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a bread pan.
  2. 2. Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, and cloves in a large bowl.
  3. 3. Beat egg and milk together in a separate bowl; add to flour mixture and stir to moisten dry ingredients evenly. Pour mixture into a bread pan.
  4. 4. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 45 to 55 minutes. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.
